What do you imagine when someone says hard work? Late nights working your butt off, exhausted and frustrated, eating bad food and about to collapse? Well, many people see hard work this way, and they might be right, but there is more behind your effort than running on N$25 cheeseburgers from KFC and sleeping 3 hours a day.
I can’t help it, but wherever I turn, everyone is talking about hard work as the real secret to success. And I am finding out that this is the real deal, not just a corny speech. I‘ve learned that and I understood that hard work which results in the desired achievement is the best source of happiness.
I have wondered many times how to get inspired to work hard, how to wake up every day with enthusiasm even when your schedule is filled up and weekend doesn’t exist. How can we finally understand that hard work isn’t here to destroy us but gives us anything we have ever wanted?
Here are 6 positive facts about hard work.
1. It pays off
If you work at the job, hard work pays you with money, recognition or respect. If you are trying to build your business, hard work pays you with the freedom and eventually money. Many people who are building their businesses invest a lot before they see any money coming in.
Hard work will always pay off if you understand its value. It is essential to see the bigger pictures, not just the present situation. I am not saying that we should work to death every day until the day we die but we should definitely stay committed at the beginning when things are the hardest.
2. It fulfills you
Do you know those days when you have so many things to do, just looking at your daily schedule is frustrating. You begin to do one task after another, and within few hours, you’re already running without even thinking about it. Suddenly the night comes, you finally sit down, in a quiet room and breathe. You look at your day.
This is one of those moments when you know why you are doing it, you know that behind your hard work is a strong purpose and in order to achieve your goal, you need to accept the sacrifice.
3. It shapes your work ethic
Among all the things I wanted to share with you in this article, this one is probably the most significant for me, and I explain why. Work ethic will become a part of your character. If you work hard, you feel good about yourself; because you understand that you have what it takes to go above and beyond in life.
On the other hand, hard work attracts respect. Even the most hateful co-worker at your job will be silently jealous about your dedication. Hard work is something many of us miss. That’s why even the most talented people fail in life because they are lazy to work hard. Stay on your track and don’t let anything disturb you.
4. It brings opportunities
Your commitment and hard work will always bring fresh opportunities which will lead to bigger projects or collaborations. If you focus on hard work and your goals, you are also creating more possibilities in your life.
I remember the time when I was working on an individual project which lasted about a year. Sometimes I felt like I am drawing in some unknown waters, looking for missing pieces in the wrong place. It was an entirely new thing for me, so I was trying everything. One day, the missing piece came from the source I didn’t even think about, and from the person, I barely knew. At that moment I understood that I attracted it into my life by always focusing on my goal and working hard.
5. It strengthens your commitment
I always believed that Hard work will only increase your commitment and commitment helps you to work hard. It just goes one with another.
Your commitment will become your habit, and that is one of the best qualities you can have. You will learn that there isn’t any secret which someone is hiding from you. Knowledge, hard work, and dedication are all we need to succeed.
6. It gives you finances
I have two part-time jobs and this blog. My website is for me the air I breathe and means a lot to me. I work on it every day. To maintain it and keep it running and pay for other expenses which come with it, I need money. If you are a blogger or building your presence online, we both already know that it takes some time to see money, so you have to invest in it before you live on it.
Those two jobs are helping me to support this website. Sometimes when I wake up at 4 am, going from one job to another, I remind myself that I need this money now, that I am spending them on the right thing.
